You’ll spend a lot of time off-piste (not on the groomers) learning how to approach steeper and more technical lines, shred various snow conditions with ease and catch some air. If you are that skier or snow boarder looking to confidently ride sick lines with power and style this is the team for you. If you are hoping to compete in the Junior Freeride Series this year or in the near future, this is the perfect training ground. Our highly-skilled coaches will balance the right amount of learning with freeriding plus you’ll get surprise appearances from our Freeride team who will also provide helpful tips based on their years of training and experience.
Snow and mountain safety, technical skills and tactics, big mountain riding, appropriate gear selection and maintenance, information on how to develop a portfolio for possible magazine photo and industry sponsorship deals, plus the ins and outs of how to sign for and compete in a freeride competition!
There are three components to the Team Freeride program:
1) 2-3 day Youth Freeride Camps Learn more
2) Our six-week Saturday and/or Sunday program. We encourage team members to participate in both weekend days to get the most from the program, especially if you plan on competing in the Junior Freeskiing Series.
