Calling all rippers between the ages of 11 and 17. In this camp you’ll spend a lot of time off the groomers learning how to read the slope, find the best line and make safe terrain selections. Join top coaches and select Freeride Team members as they share their secrets for big mountain success.
New this year at Crystal Mountain is Team Freeride which is a 6 week multi-week program that runs January thru Feburary. The Christmas camp above is an early season warm up designed for all Crystal Mountain Team Freeride athletes and any visiting freeride athletes. The Christmas camp curriculum will include introduction to snow safety equipment, development of basic riding tactics and skills, video analysis, gear assessment and goal setting for the upcoming season.

These camps are for Team Freeride athletes who want to continue to work with our Freeride coaches. It is also open to anyone who wants to gain some big-mountain skills for competing in the Junior Freeskiing series or those who just want to rip.

To be the best you have to ski with the best. Join our top coaches, some of whom are past and present Freeride competitors each morning as they eagerly share their secrets on big mountain skills and success.
Our coaches give you tips on finding the best line, how to read a slope, steep skiing etiquette, and terrain selection. Your group will tackle terrain based on ability level and current conditions. Some groups may head to the backcountry to learn about snow safety, along with skiing unbelievable terrain and powder! If you’re an advanced or expert skier looking for big-mountain skills and the confidence to tame some of the most challenging terrain in the Great Northwest, look no further. Groups will be broken out by skill level with a maximum of 8 per group.
Itinerary
Check-in/Registration between 7:30 – 8am at the Snowsports Sales Office (located next to rentals at the bottom of the staircase).
An hour lunch break between 11:30am – 12:30pm (lunch not included).
