March 29 marks the final day for nominating geotourism sites, attractions and experiences for the National Geographic Central Cascades MapGuide Project.
These nominations will be considered for inclusion in the printed MapGuide which will feature the Cascades region from Mt. Rainier National Park down to Crater Lake National Park.

Geotourism is a term coined by National Geographic that is defined as “tourism that sustains or enhances the geographical character of a place – its environment, culture, aesthetics, heritage, and the well-being of its residents.”
Celebrate the best of your region and share those unique places that should be preserved for future generations like a nature trail, a hole-in-the wall diner, a memorable cultural experience, a quirky museum or an event that could be found only in this region.
