Sunset Dinners at Washington’s Highest Restaurant Are Back

After much anticipation, Crystal Mountain is reopening for mountain-top Sunset Dinners from June 20-September 14, 2008. In addition to the dinners, which are offered Fridays and Saturdays, a Brunch will be served on Sundays. At the newly renovated 6,872 foot Summit House restaurant, you’ll dine with a birds-eye view of Mt. Rainier and the Cascade Range. Guests will also enjoy a scenic chairlift ride on the Chinook & Rainier Express chairlifts to and from the top of Crystal.

There will be two nightly Sunset Dinner seatings on Friday and Saturday nights. From June 20th – July 27th the Alpenglow seating will be at 6pm and the Sunset seating at 8:30pm. Starting August 1st the seating times will be a half hour earlier to adjust for sunset time. The lift will run 45 minutes prior to each seating time. A gourmet Sunday Brunch buffet will be served from 11am-2pm with the last lift up at 1:15pm and the last lift down at 3:30pm.

At the Summit House, Washington’s Highest Restaurant, guests will enjoy fine dining in a casual mountain environment. The dinner menu will feature fresh seafood, steaks, gourmet salads and nightly homemade specials. The cost for dinner is $79 per person and includes a choice of soup or salad, entrĂ©, select non-alcoholic beverage, dessert and the scenic chairlift ride. A fine selection of appetizers, wine and beer will be available at an additional charge. A kid’s dinner menu is available for ages 7-12 for $39. Kids 6 and under are not recommended for dinner. The cost for brunch is $49 per person and includes a gourmet breakfast buffet, coffee, tea, juice and a scenic chairlift ride. The brunch price for kids 7-12 is $29. Kids of all ages are welcome for brunch. Reservations are required for Sunset Dinners and strongly recommended for Brunch. The number to call for reservations is 360-663-3003.

Overnight accommodations are available 7 days a week at Alta Crystal Resort, Crystal Mountain Hotels or the Crystal Mountain Lodging Suites. There are many activities for guests to enjoy at or around Crystal Mountain such as; hiking and biking trails, wildlife & wildflowers viewing, disc golf course, swimming pool (at select hotels only), guided horseback trips and sightseeing around neighboring Mount Rainier National Park.
