Summit House Restaurant
Perched atop the Rainier Express Chairlift, the Summit House serves up gourmet food and breathtaking views. The Chef, Aaron Willis, has prepared a menu with a new twist for this winter. We’re sure there’s something for everyone with an appetite big or small. Share a pot of Fondue, nibble on a sauteed shrimp appetizer or fill your belly with our new Roasted Leg of Lamb Sandwich or Butternut Squash Ravioli.
At 6,872 feet, this mountain-top restaurant is more than just a place to grab a bite – it’s an experience.
On a clear day, take in views of six of the Northwest’s most famous volcanic peaks. It’s like eating at the top of the world! The lower level houses ski patrol and public restrooms. The upper level restaurant seats approximately 100 people. Come in and enjoy a meal in the full service restaurant or just for a pint of beer or a glass of wine with some traditional Swiss cheese fondue.
In a hurry to get back on the slopes? Fuel up before heading down the mountain with a hearty cup of soup or chili or a warm espresso drink from the Summit express window which also features a selection of sausages and bratwurst. You’ll find yourself coming back for another look and another bite…and another…and another!
